ABOUT US
Our nonprofit, Viet Nevada Culture NCC, launched in the spring of 2020 when founder Kim Dung Ho began witnessing first hand the challenges the Vietnamese community in Southern Nevada was facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the biggest issues was the lack of information and resources going to Vietnamese individuals and families struggling to make ends meet while also trying to stay healthy. Kim began connecting with people both online and on the phone to provide resources assistance in everything from free food donations, unemployment applications and small business grants. In an effort to form a "permanent information bridge" to the Vietnamese community, the idea for the Viet Nevada Culture nonprofit began.
Kim Dung Ho along with co-founder Van Ploegman are on a mission to provide updated resources from local governments and community partners to help those in need throughout Southern Nevada.. Viet Nevada Culture also aims to preserve the cultures and customs of Vietnam here in the United States. Some of these programs include the Tet Lunar New Year Festival at the Clark County Government Amphitheater which drew hundreds of people from throughout the Las Vegas area. The nonprofit also provides weekly Vietnamese lessons for kids & adults at CSN Community College and puts on picnics and other events to bring the Vietnamese people together in Southern Nevada.
Viet Nevada Culture is grateful for the support of many corporate and community partners including US Bank, Vegas Chamber, Nevada Grow, Asian Community Development Council etc.

Prof. Kevin Raiford
It's been an amazing journey since we met Kevin Raiford, the founder of Nevada Grow and professor at CSN. Without his leadership, guidance and financial support our nonprofit would not be where it is today. Kevin is a compassionate and giving person and we wish there's more people like him in our community. We hope to continue working with him into the future and that more people in the Vietnamese American community will benefit from his knowledge and expertise.

Ana Salazar
Ana Salazar is a Certified Professional Coach who specializes in Financial Wellness for U. S. Bank.
It was through working with her as my personal coach that I realized my goal of helping others in my community. She provided guidance and directed me to connecting with people and resources to make my dream happen.
Ana has over 30 yrs. of financial and small business experience and has helped others like me meet their goals. One of the connections she facilitated was with Major Champion and PGA Tour golfer Collin Morikawa who understood the importance of the work we do for our Vietnamese community and through him on behalf of U. S. Bank, Viet Nevada Culture was donated money to help make the TET Event a reality and continue the work within our community.
Thank you Ana for understanding my goals, for powering my potential and for supporting me when it got hard and I did not know to go about making things happen.
If you want someone to help you reach your goals take the first step www.usbank.com/exploremygoals it is free and feels great to have someone on your corner.
Thank you Ana for being my Coach.

We met Patranya Bhoolsuwan at the Business of the Year Awards Luncheon of Vegas Chamber where both of us were nominated as the Emerging Business of the Year. We immediately knew that we want to work with her! As an Emmy Award winning journalist, she now uses her communications skills to help small businesses, professionals and nonprofits like us better tell our stories to the community. With her media consulting agency, Patranya has worked very hard to make sure our message and mission get out in the community, especially by helping us secure amazing TV coverage in the media. Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom
It's no secret that Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom is a champion of Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders community in Southern Nevada. But it's not until we got to work with him closely and saw how committed he is to making our nonprofit more visible in our community, that we truly understand why his leadership matters so much for our community. We can't thank him enough for sponsoring our first annual Tet Lunar New Year Festival. Thank you for giving us the time to come speak at our event. We hope this special day will continue to be a tradition to promote diversity and inclusion in Southern Nevada for years to come.
Assemblywoman Rochelle Nguyen
How proud we are to have Assemblywoman Rochelle Nguyen be representing the AAPI Community in the State Assembly District 10. We are also so blessed to have this amazing woman and mom come to share her love for the Vietnamese community at our first annual Tet Lunar New Year Celebration this past weekend. We admire her dedication to the state of Nevada and especially for the growing number of Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders who call this state home. Thank you for all you for Viet Nevada Culture and for all of us in Nevada!
Jaclyn Schultz
It's so important to have the AAPI representation in the media to show our younger generation the lesson of "if you see me, you can be me". That is what Jaclyn Schultz stands for in Southern Nevada as one of the popular news anchors at FOX 5 Las Vegas. With her Asian American background, she is the face of diversity and we were so honored to have been one of our emcees for the Tet Lunar New Year Festival. She brought so much grace, poise and fun to our stage and to show all of the children who were there that they too can be like her, pursuing their dream careers, when they grow up! Thank you Jaclyn for all of your support of Viet NV Culture!
